RESULTS 2023

One third of all grades awarded were at 9 – 7 which is an excellent achievement. Given the uneven impact of the pandemic on school and college performance data, the government has said you should not make direct comparisons between the performance data for one school or college and another, or to data from previous years. Our last set of validated data from 2023 is shown below.

GCSE Results 2023

Bullers Wood students are celebrating GCSE success on publication of the 2023 results, with 81% securing 9 – 4 grades in English and Maths.  36% of students secured at least 3 9 – 7 grades and 26% 5 or more 9 – 7 grades.  Our Progress 8 figure of 0.28 and is above average, and puts us into the top 20% of schools nationally, and our Attainment 8 figure of 55.4.

89% of students secured 9-4 in English, and 83% 9-4 in Maths.

52% of the cohort have achieved the ‘EBACC’ suite of subjects at grade 4 or above, and we are equally proud of students’ achievements and success in creative and practical subjects which reflect our broad and balanced curriculum that nurtures and develops the skills and aptitudes for study and work in the 21st century.

These results reflect two years commitment and hard work on the part of students, with expert guidance from dedicated teachers and support from parents and carers. In particular we recognise and applaud colleagues’ and students’ successes in securing these grades across new specifications which, covering more and harder contents and concepts. We congratulate the students on their achievements and wish them well for the future.
